Open Downloads. The page suggests the file for your Mac: Apple silicon or Intel.
Open the DMG and drag the Matrix app into Applications. Compare the SHA-256 value on the card if you want to check the file.
The Nightly is not notarized. The first time, right-click the app → Open, then Open again.

First launch

Open Matrix and see what is ready.

Open Matrix. The left bar shows Marketplace and Settings.
Whispr downloads itself on the first launch of a new install. If you were offline, it tries again next launch.
Open Whispr and allow microphone and speech recognition when macOS asks.

Marketplace

Add or remove plugins and modes.

Open Marketplace in the left bar. It lists plugins (T3 Code, Whispr) and, once T3 Code is installed, modes.
Click Install on a card. Click Uninstall to remove it; Matrix does not add it back by itself.
New modes appear in Marketplace without a Matrix update.

Setup

Get coding agents ready for T3 Code.

Install T3 Code from Marketplace and open it.
T3 Code drives agent tools you already have, such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor and OpenCode. Install and sign in to each one the way its maker describes.
Prompts and files you send go to that agent's provider, under its terms.

Workflow

Turn an agent's reply into a live card.

In T3 Code, click Mode in the prompt box and pick one, or press ⌥⌘1…9. No mode means plain chat.
The agent's reply becomes a card in the chat. Use Attach, Copy, Full view, JSON or Pin on the card.
When the agent edits the card, the newest version stays live and older ones fold to one line.

Workflow

Talk to the assistant from any app.

Install T3 Code and sign in to an agent first.
Click Talk in the left bar, or press Option+Shift+Space in any app. Speak, then press again or pause to send.
A small bubble shows what it hears, says and does. Open in T3 Code shows the full thread.

Setup

Follow and steer Mac work from your phone.

Install the Android remote APK from Downloads.
On the Mac, open T3 Code and click Pair phone. On the phone, go to Settings → Connections → Add and scan the code.
Both devices need the same network or a VPN such as Tailscale. Turn off phone access in the Pair phone dialog to stop it.

Setup

Keep Matrix and its plugins current.

Open Settings › Updates in Matrix.
Update Matrix, one plugin, or all of them. A failed plugin update keeps the version you had.
If Matrix cannot update itself, download the newest Nightly from Downloads.

Fix common problems.

macOS will not open Matrix: right-click → Open, or System Settings › Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Only do this for a file from zonegaze.com/downloads.
Marketplace is empty: check your internet connection; the list comes from zonegaze.com.
Whispr does not hear you: allow Microphone and Speech Recognition in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
The phone cannot connect: use the same network or VPN and pair again from T3 Code → Pair phone.
