Start here with ZoneGaze Matrix.

Follow these steps to install Matrix, choose tools, connect a provider when needed, and check AI-assisted work before you keep it.

Start here

Install Matrix, open the workspace, and try one simple task.

Install the Mac preview, open the Dashboard, and choose one tool. You can add provider details later when a tool needs them.

Install Matrix

Download and install the current Mac preview.

  1. Open Downloads and choose Apple Silicon or Intel to match your Mac.
  2. Check the posted SHA-256 value if you need to verify the file, then open the DMG and move Matrix to Applications.
  3. On first open, follow the macOS prompt for this ad-hoc signed, non-notarized preview.

Setup

Choose tools

Add only the tools that match your work.

  1. Use Flow for planned software tasks, Chat for conversation, and Whispr for spoken notes.
  2. Use Code and Git when you need to inspect code or changes, and Social Studio for reviewed social drafts.
  3. Open Design and Exo are upstream-mounted tools; Research is a shared ability used through other tools.

Setup

Provider setup

Connect an AI provider or local option when a tool asks for one.

  1. Choose the provider you already use or a local option that Matrix supports.
  2. Enter provider details in the setup area shown by the tool; Models-Cline is setup information, not a separate product.
  3. Before sending a prompt, check which text or files may leave your device for that provider.

Workflow

Flow

Plan software work and review each result.

  1. Add the project folder you want Flow to work with and create a task with a clear result.
  2. Start the task, watch its progress, and read any question before allowing more work.
  3. When it finishes, inspect the output and continue with the Review guide before accepting changes.

Workflow

Chat

Ask questions and work through ideas in one conversation.

  1. Open Chat and choose the provider or model needed for the conversation.
  2. Write a focused question and add only the context that is safe and useful to share.
  3. Read the answer as advice, and check important facts before acting on them.

Workflow

Whispr

Turn speech into text when typing is inconvenient.

  1. Open Whispr and allow microphone access only when macOS asks for it.
  2. Start a recording, speak clearly, and stop when the note or prompt is complete.
  3. Read and edit the transcript before using it elsewhere.

Workflow

Code and Git

Inspect code and Git changes before keeping them.

  1. Open the project and confirm that Matrix is showing the folder you meant to use.
  2. Read changed files and the Git diff; do not accept a change only because an AI created it.
  3. Run the project's checks before committing or sharing the result.

Workflow

Social Studio

Prepare social content and review it before use.

  1. Choose the idea or source material for the draft and remove private information.
  2. Create a draft for the intended audience and channel.
  3. Check claims, tone, links, and media rights before you copy or publish anything.

Support

Privacy

Understand what stays local and what an external provider receives.

  1. Matrix keeps supported workspace information on your device, but connected providers follow their own data rules.
  2. Before using a provider, check its settings and avoid sending secrets, private customer data, or files it does not need.
  3. Use the Privacy page for website-data questions and the provider's policy for provider-data questions.

Workflow

Review

Check AI-assisted work before accepting or sharing it.

  1. Compare the requested result with what the tool actually produced.
  2. Inspect changed files, commands, sources, and links, then run the relevant checks.
  3. Keep, revise, or reject the result; a completed tool run is not automatic approval.

Troubleshooting

Work through common Matrix problems in a safe order.

  1. Confirm the Matrix version, your Mac type, and the exact tool that is failing.
  2. Return to the Dashboard and check service, provider, and tool status before retrying.
  3. If the problem remains, note the safe error text and contact Support without sending passwords, keys, or private files.
