Matrix is the frame. Plugins do the work.
Matrix gives your AI tools one window, one settings hub and one way to install and update them. It does not run models itself: T3 Code drives the agent tools you already use.

Run coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor and OpenCode from one place, with voice in the prompt box.
- Uses the agent tools already installed and signed in on your Mac.

ZoneGaze Whispr
Dictation that runs on your Mac. Speak, and the words land where you type.
- Installs itself on the first launch of a new Matrix.
- Apple Speech, a local Whisper model, or your own cloud key.
- Searchable history and a personal dictionary.

Talk to Matrix
Press Option+Shift+Space in any app, speak, and a small bubble shows what the assistant hears, says and does.
- Each conversation is a normal T3 Code thread.
- Needs T3 Code and a signed-in agent.
Marketplace
Install, update and remove plugins and modes. New modes arrive from zonegaze.com without a Matrix update.
Appearance
Theme, colours and density for the whole frame, in Settings › Appearance.
Updates
Settings › Updates checks for new versions of Matrix and every plugin. A failed update keeps the version you had.
Modes
Answers you can point at.
A mode turns the agent's reply into a live card in the chat. The agent keeps editing the same card, and older versions fold to one line. Pin, attach or open any card full screen.
- Studio: Screens, images, video, audio and text on one canvas. Pin a spot and the agent edits it.
- Compare: Answers, designs, tables or agent runs side by side, with the differences called out.
- Research Notebook: A question, numbered sources, findings that cite them, and the gaps still open.
- Social: Plan, preview and approve a week of posts across accounts.
- Whiteboard: Notes, groups and arrows on a board you can pan and zoom.
Modes need T3 Code. Modes never call a model on their own; the agent does the work.
Android
A remote for Matrix on your Mac.
The Android app follows and steers the work running on your Mac. It is not a separate Matrix.
- T3 Code: threads and settings, with Whispr, Talk to Matrix and model routing in the prompt box.
- Whispr: dictate on the phone and copy dictations to your Mac.
- Market: install, update or remove plugins on the Mac.
Pair it from T3 Code → Pair phone on the Mac. Both devices need the same network or a VPN such as Tailscale. The link is plain HTTP, so use a network you trust.

Know before you install
Current limits.
- Nightly builds are early test builds. Expect rough edges.
- Mac builds are not notarized yet.
- The Android app is a remote: it needs Matrix running on a Mac.
- Modes run on the Mac. The phone can pick a mode, but the canvas stays on the Mac.
Matrix keeps its settings on your Mac. Prompts you send through T3 Code go to the agent provider you signed in to, under that provider's terms.
